Frequently Asked Questions
- Other apps also have a yearly recap. How is Gigvault different?
- Good question. Most concert apps offer a once-a-year recap. Here's what Gigvault actually does differently:\n\n· Wrapped updates after every show you add — not once a year. Your stats are always current.\n· Concert Buddies shows who has attended the most concerts with you across your full history. Other apps don't track this.\n· Music Identity writes a personal description of you as a concert-goer based on shows you attended — not streams. No other app has this.\n· Monthly Wrapped recaps for Pro users — not just a December summary.\n· Mutual-only social — no followers, no algorithm, no public feed unless you choose it.\n\nIf you only want a yearly recap, other apps work fine. If you want a living concert profile that grows with every show — that's gigvault.
- Is Gigvault free?
- Yes — completely free to use. No credit card, no trial period. We'll introduce optional Pro features in the future, but the core app — tracking, Wrapped, Social Hub — stays free.
- How is this different from Setlist.fm?
- Setlist.fm is a database — it's about the data. Gigvault is about you. Your memories, your friends, your identity as a concert-goer. We focus on the personal and social side of live music, not crowdsourced setlists.
- How is this different from Spotify Wrapped?
- Spotify Wrapped shows what you streamed. Gigvault Wrapped shows what you actually lived — the shows you drove to, the pits you stood in, the nights you still think about.
- Is there an iOS or Android app?
- Yes — Gigvault is live on the App Store for iPhone (iOS 16+) and on Google Play for Android. The full experience also works on the web at gigvault.app on any device.
- How does Concert Wrapped work?
- Wrapped automatically analyzes your concert attendance and creates a personal summary with statistics, most-seen bands, and highlights.
- What is Music Identity?
- A Pro feature that uses AI to create a personal music profile — based on your attended concerts, not streams.
- What are Concert Buddies?
- Concert Buddies shows which friends you attended the most concerts with.
- How does connecting Spotify work?
- Spotify imports your music profile (top songs, genres) so Gigvault can give you personalized concert recommendations. Your data is stored securely and never shared publicly.
- What are Concert Groups?
- Concert Groups (Pro) let you plan concert visits with friends. Track tickets, update status, split costs, and settle expenses — all in one place.
- What are festivals vs. regular shows?
- Festivals have a lineup with multiple bands. You can mark individual bands you saw.
- Can I create shows manually?
- Yes! If a concert isn't in the database, you can create it yourself — with date, venue, city, and artist. Your entry will be approved after a quick review.
- Can I coordinate concerts with friends?
- Yes — with Concert Groups (Pro) you can plan attendance, track who has tickets, split costs and settle payments all in one place. Joining a group and settling payments is always free. Creating groups is a Pro feature.
- What if my friends aren't on Gigvault yet?
- Invite them — it takes 2 minutes to sign up. We also suggest connections based on shared concerts, so you'll find people who were at the same shows even if you don't know them yet.
- Can I keep my profile private?
- Yes. Your profile is private by default. You control exactly what's visible — only your connections see what you choose to share.
- What if I've only been to a few concerts?
- Perfect time to start. Your Wrapped and stats build over time — the earlier you begin, the better your history looks in a year. Even 3 concerts is a start.
- Is Pro worth it?
- If you go to more than 5 concerts a year — yes. Music Identity, Concert Buddies, monthly recaps and unlimited uploads. Most users say the Music Identity alone was worth it.
- What do I miss on Free?
- Nothing essential. Free gives you full tracking, Wrapped with core stats, and the Social Hub. Pro removes limits and adds deeper insights.
- Can I upgrade later?
- Yes — anytime. All your data stays saved.
- What happens if I cancel Pro?
- Your concerts and profile stay. You revert to Free limits. Your data is always yours.
- Will the price increase?
- We're in early access. Users who sign up now lock in the current price.
- When is ticket buying coming?
- We're working on it. The plan is to integrate ticket purchasing directly into Gigvault so you can discover, buy and log shows all in one place. Join the waitlist to stay updated.
