First Day Back — artist information
The stage is a cavern of fractured guitar melodies that weave together like rusted wire, pulling the air tight before snapping into frantic, guttural releases. There is a raw, jagged velocity to the sound, balancing intricate math-rock stuttering with the kind of soaring, desperate vocals that force the entire room to lose its breath. The audience acts as a singular, surging organism, leaning into the distortion as the drums pummel the floorboards into submission. It feels less like a performance and more like a collective exorcism, leaving the space humming with frayed nerves and genuine, unfiltered catharsis.
Genres: midwest emo, emo, post-hardcore, united states.
