John Grant — artist information
The air crackles when John Grant takes the stage, a velvet-draped confessional where his baritone navigates chasms of self-doubt and glimmers of sarcastic wit. Each phrase lands like a perfectly weighted stone, sometimes cutting, sometimes a caress, all delivered with an unflinching honesty that makes the room hold its breath. The audience isn't just listening; they're complicit, caught in the undertow of his sophisticated, often melancholic, melodies that swell and recede like a tide. It's a masterclass in emotional cartography, leaving you both gutted and strangely exhilarated.
Genres: singer-songwriter, folk, indie, indie rock, folk rock.
