Maddy Prior — artist information
Watching this ensemble live feels like stepping into a sun-dappled clearing where the ancient and the earthen collide. The collective weave of intricate acoustic strings and hauntingly crystalline vocals creates a tapestry that bridges centuries, turning intimate venues into vessels for storytelling. There is a profound stillness in the room as the music swells, grounding the audience in a rhythmic, pastoral pulse that defies modern pace. It is a masterclass in resonance, where every note lands with the weight and clarity of a stone dropped in a deep, dark well.
Genres: folk, female vocalists, british folk, celtic.
