Mekons — artist information
The Mekons hit the stage like a joyous, splintered wrecking ball, blurring the lines between jagged post-punk, weathered folk, and insurgent country-rock. Their live energy feels less like a rehearsed set and more like a chaotic, democratic uprising, where fiddles saw frantically against overdriven guitars. The room hums with a rare, grizzled intimacy, dragging the crowd into a sweat-soaked communion of defiance and wit. It is a gloriously unpolished spectacle, where every song vibrates with the raw, stubborn spirit of a band that refuses to be tamed by time.
