Osibisa — artist information
To witness them live is to be swept up in a kaleidoscopic hurricane of polyrhythmic percussion and shimmering brass that obliterates the line between performer and audience. The air thickens with a sun-drenched, heavy-groove funk that feels as primal as it does sophisticated, pulling every spectator into an involuntary, hypnotic sway. Cascading layers of jazz-inflected guitar melt into relentless, driving afrobeat currents, transforming the floor into a swirling mosaic of kinetic energy. It is less a concert and more a communal ritual of pure, unadulterated rhythmic joy that demands total surrender.
Genres: funk, afrobeat, jazz, african.
