Bandsintown Alternative — built for fans who go

Bandsintown is built around upcoming concert discovery and is loaded with ads + personalized email blasts. Gigvault is built around the concerts you've already lived. Both can be useful at different times — but if you want a personal archive of your real concert history (with stats, Wrapped, photos, friend tags), Gigvault is the dedicated app.

Why fans look for a Bandsintown alternative

Three reasons keep showing up in user feedback: too many promotional emails (Bandsintown sends 10+ per week to active users), weak past-concert tracking (the "I went" feature exists but offers no meaningful stats), and no Concert Wrapped equivalent. Bandsintown is great at "what concerts are coming to my city?" but bad at "what's my concert history?" Gigvault inverts that focus.

What you get with Gigvault that Bandsintown lacks

Concert history archive — every show you've been to, permanently. Concert Wrapped — automatic year-end recap (Bandsintown has nothing like this). Personal diary — photos, videos, notes, ratings per show. Support acts logged as separate entries — the opener counts toward your stats. Festival sets band-by-band — a Coachella weekend with 14 logged sets = 14 shows. AI Music Identity — summary of who you are as a concert-goer. Concert Buddies — surfaces friends with shared concert history. No ads, no data sold — privacy by default.

Bandsintown vs Gigvault: what each app is best at

Bandsintown wins at: discovering upcoming concerts in your city, getting alerts when favorite artists announce tours, ticket links to multiple sellers. Gigvault wins at: tracking concerts you've already been to, building a personal archive with photos and setlists, festival mode for multi-stage tracking, Concert Wrapped, friend tagging and shared timelines, ad-free experience. Many fans use both — Bandsintown for "what's coming" and Gigvault for "what I've lived."

How to import your Bandsintown history

Bandsintown doesn't offer a CSV export, so migration is manual. The good news: Gigvault's auto-fill is so fast that logging 100+ shows takes about an hour. Search the artist, pick the date, tap "I was there." Most users finish migrating a full Bandsintown history in one afternoon.
