Summer Breeze Open Air — Festival information

Nestled in the rolling landscape of Dinkelsbühl, Summer Breeze Open Air transforms the Flugplatz Sinbronn into a sprawling sanctuary for the heavy and the extreme. The festival navigates a precise balance, anchoring its identity in the jagged intensity of death metal and hardcore while providing a stage for global titans like Atreyu alongside the sonic crush of Ahab and Anaal Nathrakh. Here, the atmosphere is defined by a camaraderie that thrives in the dust and sweat, where the intensity of the mosh pit is met with a uniquely German sense of logistical precision and open-hearted community. It is a pilgrimage for those who live for the low-end rumble, offering a visceral escape where the blistering technicality of bands like Abbie Falls meets the open skies of Bavaria. Far more than just a series of performances, this gathering serves as the annual pulse check for the European metal scene, cementing its status as an indispensable rite of passage for the global heavy music collective.
