American Poetry Club — artist information
The stage becomes a sanctuary for the fragile and the hyper-articulate, where jagged guitar stabs dissolve into washes of shimmering, lo-fi melody. It feels less like a performance and more like eavesdropping on a private, cathartic diary entry shouted over a distortion pedal. In the cramped heat of the room, the collective energy swings violently between hushed, bedroom-pop intimacy and raw, heart-on-sleeve angst. The audience sways in a collective, melancholic trance, finding sanctuary in the sweet, stinging precision of every note.
Genres: indie pop, twee pop, midwest emo, bedroom pop.
