Mouth Music — artist information
The stage transforms into a swirling vortex of ancient Gaelic cadence and frantic, percussive vocal layering that defies the stillness of the room. Syncopated rhythms collide with ethereal, soaring melodies, weaving a hypnotic tapestry that feels both deeply rooted in the earth and bracingly futuristic. In the dimly lit intimacy of an Edmonton venue, the sound wraps around the audience like a living, breathing coastal gale. It is a visceral, communal trance, leaving the crowd suspended in a wash of shimmering, rhythmic dissonance that echoes long after the final hum fades.
Genres: celtic, folk, world, Scottish, female vocalists.
