Electric Picnic 2026 ran from 28 to 30 August in Stradbally, and the bill had 290 acts on it. Nobody saw all of them. Most people saw somewhere between ten and twenty-five, and by next spring most of those will have blurred into "that Saturday". This is the week to write them down, while you still know which tent you were standing in. How to log a festival in ten minutes
Work day by day, not act by act. Most people remember a festival as a sequence — where they started, what they skipped, what they ran across the site for. Use that.
Friday
Start with the act you arrived for and work outward. If you walked past a stage and stayed for three songs, that counts; log it. If you heard something from the campsite, it does not.
Saturday
The busiest day for most people and the one that blurs first. Open the lineup, scan the Saturday block, and tick everything you recognise having seen. Do not stop to rate anything yet.
Sunday
Usually the shortest list. Log it, then go back and add one line of notes to the two or three sets that mattered. A single sentence is enough — "walked in for the last four songs, stayed for the whole thing" is a better memory than a five-star rating.

There are 68 tracked shows in Ireland, and 56 of them are in Dublin — the 3Arena, the Academy, the National Stadium and Marlay Park carry most of the calendar. Cork has four. So for a lot of Irish fans, one weekend at Stradbally is more live music than the rest of the year combined. If you log nothing else in 2026, log this.

Three things people get wrong when logging festivals
Logging the festival, not the acts. "Electric Picnic 2026" as one entry tells you that you went. It does not tell you that you saw Gurriers for the first time or that you have now seen Loyle Carner three years running. Log the acts; the festival groups them for you.
Waiting for the perfect record. You will not remember every act. Log the twelve you are sure of tonight and add the thirteenth when it comes back to you in October. A partial list you actually made beats a complete list you never started.
Rating everything. A number next to each set is work, and most of it is noise. Note the sets that changed something — a band you had never heard of, a headliner that was worse than the record — and leave the rest as a plain "seen".
