The John Wright Band — artist information
The John Wright Band transmutes the rugged heritage of Scottish folk into a visceral, high-octane experience that feels less like a performance and more like a rowdy, communal gathering. When the fiddle melodies collide with driving rock percussion, the air in a small venue like Shaw thickens with a raw, kinetic electricity. Listeners are pulled into a rhythmic undertow, where delicate acoustic textures suddenly erupt into foot-stomping crescendos. It is a rare, unvarnished sound that transforms intimate rooms into soaring celebrations of melody and grit, leaving the audience breathless and reeling.
Genres: folk rock, folk, Scottish, scottish folk.
